Multisensor Fire Gas Detectors GSME

The early-stage fire detection system ADICOS® manufactured by a German company GTE Gmbh allows smoldering (flameless fire) detection before an open fire starts.
The system detects smouldering by multicriteria, multisensor detectors of GSME type, equipped with 4 sensors – semiconductor gas detectors. They react to small amounts of gases typical of burning and smouldering processes: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrogen (H2), hydrocarbons (HC).
Exceptional sensitivity and detection efficiency was achieved, thanks to the criterion of alarming when gases are detected simultaneously. This way it is possible to avoid false alarms when detecting a single gas from sources other than fire. The background of such gases is typical for applications in coal, biomass, waste and other organic materials installations.
Sensors are equipped with a special brass, porous filter to work in high dust conditions. Sensors can work in high humidity conditions thanks to internal heating and the filter equipped with a protective tube. With this technology fires can be detected reliably in the smouldering stage.

Reacting to even small amounts of combustion gases, using a special filter construction with tube and heating along with unique software, allowing trend analysis and setting precise alarm thresholds cause the GSME detectors to be resistant to high-density dust. At the same time GSME is sensitive enough to detect a smouldering - a very early stage of fire of a flammable product.
The detectors store configuration data, sent from ADICOS®  Central Software installed on a service computer. The detector decides about an alarm on the basis of the configuration and current data comparison and stores the detector measurement results for a week.
