The PointWatch™ Model PIR9600 is a new generation of Det-tronics diffusion-based, infrared combustible gas detector that provides continuous, fixed monitoring of flammable hydrocarbon gases from 0 to 100% Lower Flammable Limit (LFL).
It uses IR hydrocarbons absorption measurement technology.
Routine calibration is not needed because, utilizing this technology, it is continuously self-tested and does not wear during exposition to hydrocarbons. It signals faults and fouled optics conditions.
Detector is immune to catalytic gas detector's poisons such as silicones and hydrides and does not wear out during exposition to hydrocarbons. The detector also works more stable and reacts faster to gas concentrations than catalytic detector.

PointWatch™ Model PIR9600 with Universal Display FlexVu® UD30

Explosion-proof, aluminum housing with tethered weather protection baffle.
The PIR9600 needs to be installed in a Det-tronics junction box to meet the hazardous area requirements.
UD30 Universal Display enables field configuration, calibration and diagnostics.
Standard device output is an electrically isolated 4-20 mA signal with HART communication protocol.
The approved J-Boxes include: PIRTB, STB.  Detector wired to Universal Displays FlexVu® UD10 and UD30 can work as the local stand-alone measuring point.
It can also work in Det-tronics Eagle Quantum Premier hazard event monitoring system.

IR gas detector PIRECL PointWatch Eclipse® uses IR hydrocarbons absorption measurement technology. It provides continuous, fixed monitoring of flammable hydrocarbon gases from 0 to 100% Lower Flammable Limit (LFL).
Detector is immune to catalytic gas detector's poisons such as silicones and hydrides.
Routine calibration is not needed because, utilizing this technology, it is continuously self-tested and does not wear out during exposition to hydrocarbons. This allows manufacturer to give 5 year warranty.
The detector works more stable and reacts faster to gas concentrations than standard IR detectors. It also continuously performs self-tests and signals fault and fouled optics conditions.

The new fast response detector has been certified to FM, CSA, IECEx and ATEX requirements for global applications to detect methane or butane in as little as 1.5 seconds with weather protection including a hydrophobic filter  !

Beside the features of simplified version (PointWatch), Eclipse® does not need transmitter or junction box to process the 4-20mA signal.
It is constructed the way that zero drift does not occur during normal work.
Standard version has analog 4-20mA output with HART protocol and RS-485 communication port with MODBUS or ASCII protocol enables sending data to master device. Optional built-in relay packge provides two alarm relays and one fault relay.
PIRECL cooperates with the same external devices as simple PointWatch i.e. can be connected to Universal Displays FexVu® UD10 or UD30, and work as stand alone measuring points or can be connected to Det-tronics Eagle Quantum Premier® Hazard Event Monitoring System (special, adressable version).

PointWatch™ is compatible with R8471 controllers (obsolete) in gas panel or with Infiniti® U 9500 transmitter (obsolete) and FlexVu® UD10 controller as the local stand-alone measuring point. It can also work in Dettronics Eagle Quantum Premier® hazard event monitoring system.

The product will be withdrawn from production soon. It is offered as replacement or spare part only. It can be repaired. Please contact Det-tronics distributor for the selection of a replacement detector.
