The FlexSight™ LS2000 is the new generation of Det-tronics Line-of-Sight IR Gas Detector.
It provides continuous monitoring of combustible hydrocarbon gas concentrations using the similar technology as PointWatch or Eclipse®, but on the open sensing path 5 to 120 meters between transmitter and receiver.
The FlexSight™ LS2000 sets a new standard for Line-of-Sight IR gas detectors with improved optical field of view, an advanced housing design, simplified mount, and breakthrough alignment tolerance.
Long-lasting lamp performance, industry-leading Field-Of-View creates more tolerant alignment process (+/- 2m tolerance at 120m range) and significantly reduces average install time and provides easy maintenance.

It has stainless steel construction, IP66/67, heated optics.
Fail-Safe operation ensured by performing all critical tests once per second.
Non-intrusive zero calibration options: on-board magnetic switch, MODBUS communication, HART communication, or external switch. Multi-Color LED are provided on both modules for status indication.
Outputs: electrically isolated/non-isolated 4-20 mA with HART communication and RS-485 MODBUS communication. Optional relay board with 2 alarm relays and one fault relay.
Model LS2000 
cooperates with the same external devices as PointWatch Eclipse® i.e. can be connected to Universal Displays FexVu® UD10 or UD30 and work as stand-alone measuring points or can be connected to Det-tronics Eagle Quantum Premier® Hazard Event Monitoring System (special, adressable version).

Approvals:

  • OPECL is ATEX, IECEX certified, receiver & transmitter: Ex db eb IIC T4
  • Detector is  IEC 61508  SIL2  certified

 Warranty: 5 years for unit and 10 years for IR lamp source

The IR Open-Path Eclipse® Model OPECL detector detects hydrocarbon gases using the similar technology as PointWatch, but on the open sensing path 5 to 120 meters between transmitter and receiver.
This method allows the hydrocarbon gases concentration monitoring over wide areas and on long paths.

The product will be withdrawn from production soon. It is offered as replacement or spare part only. It can be repaired. Please contact IP&Sfor the selection of a replacement controller/transmitter.
