The X3302 Protect•IR Flame Detector uses newest Multispectrum 3xIR (MIR) technology to the difficult task of detecting invisible hydrogen flames without the false alarms associated with traditional UV technologies, especially sourced from arc welding. Focusing on the water-band IR emissions of hydrogen flame, the X3302 overcomes the limited detection range and false alarm tendencies of other flame detectors.
Utilizing the X3301’s multi-patented signal processing algorithms, the X3302 provides a breakthrough in flame detection/surveillance of hazardous materials that produce mostly water vapor, and little or no Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in the combustion process.
The detection capability of the X3302 is double that of traditional UV and UV/IR detectors. At the same time, the detector is completely solar blind and insensitive to electrical welding, artificial lights, lightnings, arcs and “blackbody” radiation, which all are still weak points of other detection technologies.
Detector is equipped with microprocessor-controlled heated optics and automatic, manual or magnetic optical integrity (Oi) testing.
The detector has Division and Zone explosion-proof ratings and is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor applications in very harsh environment (IP66/67). The X3302 housing is available in aluminum or stainless steel.
The standard output configuration includes fire, fault and auxiliary relays, RS485 MODBUS port. An optional 0 to 20 mA output with HART can be provided. Eagle Quantum Premier® detector models are also available.
Detector has built-in data logging/event monitoring.
On detector's head there is a tricolor LED indicating normal operation, alarm and fault conditions.
Designed to meet at least Safety Integrity Level SIL-2 according to EXIDA Certificate.
